Analog

Synths Again.

Something about the fatness of an analog. There is nothing like it
in the world. Once you start, you just want to keep adjusting the
frequencies, and turning the filters. Its something that keeps you
up at night thinking about space, and darkness, and far away places. I
ts a great mental addiction when added to any studio. Don’t get me
wrong, there are some great new plug-ins, but none quite get you there.
They have more control than there old predecessors, only not the fatness. One thing you will never be able to recreate.

Continued workflow.

With the DX7 and an arsenal of new drums, it’s beginning to look
like another album. New software too, but in the end I always use
the hardware. That is the reason i have a nice mix between digital
and analog synths in the studio. Any sound can be achieved.

After Reading and Hearing.....

So much about vintage synths, I had to get my hands on a
few. It has led me to believe that they are organic, and full of
life. I have told people my modern digital virus c desktop has
a soul. The Prophet 600 is another analog synth with soul.
The more I hear Anthony’s novation I hear it’s soul. Truth is,
each one is very unique with it’s own sound, and character
that makes you feel a very appealing way. A way that influences
you to create as much music as possible.
